Our story

Built around a simple promise: get there safely

ETA is a true family business, founded and run by two brothers and their spouses, one of them a paramedic, who saw firsthand how stressful medical transportation can be for patients and their loved ones. A missed dialysis ride or a rough discharge home isn’t just an inconvenience. It affects someone’s health and peace of mind.

We built Essential Transport Assistance to be the seamless, reliable service families and care coordinators deserve. From the first phone call to the final hand-off at the door, our goal is the same: a safe, comfortable, on-time trip and one less thing to worry about.

Because we’re family-owned, every trip carries our name and our reputation. We proudly serve the South Florida tri-county area with wheelchair, stretcher, and ambulatory transportation, and we treat every passenger like one of our own.

ETA is led by the family that founded it. When you call, you reach our own dispatch team, never a call center or a broker, and the owners stay close to every ride.

Blake Yturralde

Co-founder

Paramedic, 20+ years in ER and critical care

Blake is a paramedic with more than 20 years of emergency room and critical-care experience. He started ETA after seeing the same gap again and again in South Florida: rides that showed up late, patients handled without care, and families with no one to call. ETA is his answer, a medical transportation company built around the patient, with safety, compassion, and real customer service on every trip. Outside of ETA, Blake founded and runs Commercial Medical Escorts, which has provided a medical escort for the flight home to patients on commercial airlines since 2006.

Brent Yturralde

Co-founder

A Florida native, Brent grew up in Deerfield Beach, where baseball and sports were a big part of his life. Today he's a dad of two boys and helps coach their teams. He brings an entrepreneur's drive and a genuine love of helping people to ETA, and he's closely involved in how every ride is run, from the vehicles to the drivers who take them out.

Ryan Hudson

Co-founder

Ryan was born and raised in Plymouth, Massachusetts, and lived on Cape Cod before moving to South Florida. He's also a realtor, which gives him a deep knowledge of the neighborhoods, communities, and roads across the region, and a fitness instructor with a real passion for helping people feel their best. He brings that local knowledge and that care for people to how ETA serves families across the region.

Poliana Yturralde

Co-founder, Dispatch & patient care

Born in Brazil, Poliana relocated to Florida and spent her career overseeing doctors' offices, where she built a love for patient care, scheduling, and great customer service. At ETA she's often the first voice families hear: she listens to what your loved one needs and puts together a clear quote and a plan. She's also a devoted mom who's very involved in her kids' sports.

The person who comes to your door matters more than anything else we do, so we don’t leave hiring to chance. Every ETA driver is personally selected by our ownership, and every one is an experienced professional who knows how to help a rider who is nervous, in pain, or simply moving a little slower that day.

As ETA grows across South Florida, that doesn’t change. Each new driver goes through the same selection and the same training, and is held to the same standard of patience, courtesy, and safety our riders have come to expect.
