Airport rides here, and a medical escort in the air
When your parent lands at Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach, or Miami, we can meet them at the terminal entrance and bring them home with the same door-through-door help we give on every ride. When home is a flight away. Some seasonal residents aren’t up to the drive north, or a flight on their own, after a hospital stay or surgery. For those trips, Commercial Medical Escorts, a Pompano Beach company founded by ETA co-founder Blake Yturralde, sends a flight nurse or paramedic to travel with the patient on a regular scheduled airline, from the bedside in Florida to home in the Northeast, the Midwest or Canada. Can I book rides for my parent from out of state?
Yes. Many of our seasonal bookings come from a son or daughter up north. Call 954.477.7340 or request a ride online, tell us the appointments, and we handle the rest. You get a confirmation when a ride is booked, a reminder the day before, and a text when the ride is underway.
Can you set up rides for the whole season?
Yes. Give us the season's dialysis, therapy, and doctor visits once and we put them on the schedule as standing orders. Dialysis standing orders are priced the same every visit, so there are no surprises.
Can you pick my parent up at the airport?
Yes. We provide assisted rides between Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Palm Beach (PBI), and Miami (MIA) airports and your parent's winter home, with help from the terminal entrance to the front door. Wheelchair and stretcher vehicles are available.
What if my parent shouldn't fly alone?
Commercial Medical Escorts, founded by ETA co-founder Blake Yturralde, has flown patients on commercial airlines since 2006. A flight nurse, paramedic, or physician can travel with your parent from bedside to bedside, or a non-medical travel companion can fly with them when medical care isn't needed. We handle the ride to and from the airport here in South Florida.
